Kirby Luxury Stays is an off-grid escape on Kirby Land, our 10-acre wooded property in Sterling, Michigan. Settle into one of two distinctive geodesic domes and enjoy nature without giving up the conveniences that make a getaway comfortable.
Solar power supports interior lighting, mobile-device charging, a provided small refrigerator, and a coffee maker. Wi‑Fi access is available for guests who want to stay connected.

Welcome to Kirby Land
Your own space in the woods.
Each dome area has its own private fire pit, two live-edge wood benches, a pergola with two hanging egg chairs, a charcoal park grill, and a picnic table.
Cook over charcoal or an open fire, settle into the egg chairs, explore the wooded trails, and keep an eye out for deer, wild turkeys, and other native wildlife.
Firelight & StargazingSlow mornings, fireside evenings, s’mores, conversations, and beautiful star-filled night skies—all from your own private outdoor space.

Modern comfort, just a short walk away.
Bathrooms are not inside the domes. The separate bathhouse is shared by guests, but each of its four rooms is individually private while in use: two shower rooms and two toilet rooms.
Dome 1 is approximately a 2-minute walk from the bathhouse; Dome 2 is approximately a 4-minute walk. Running water, full showers and flush toilets bring welcome comfort to the off-grid setting.

Kirby Land is an off-grid experience, and temperatures can get chilly, especially during the early and late parts of our season. Bedding is provided, but if you tend to get cold or are visiting during cooler weather, we recommend bringing an extra blanket or two for added comfort.
